Joe Burrow is back on an NFL field for a regular season game and it’s a great sight to see.
The Cincinnati Bengals second-year quarterback has fully recovered from his devastating leg injuries in 2020. Burrow suffered a season-ending leg injury against the Washington Football Team last fall.
Burrow admitted that the rehab process is a lonely one.
“The rehab process is a lonely one and a lot of people reached out to me,” Burrow said, per the Bengals’ YouTube channel. “And I appreciated all of them, but this is really something I had to go through alone.”
Burrow does have plenty of close friends and family, thankfully. His longtime girlfriend, Olivia, has been by his side since his college football days.
Olivia shared on her Instagram Story a good-luck message for Burrow before kickoff. She’s in the stands on Sunday afternoon.
Hopefully the 2020 season will be injury-free for Burrow.
The Bengals are opening the 2021 season against the Vikings. It’s currently tied, 0-0, late in the first quarter.
The game between Cincinnati and Minnesota is airing on FOX.
