Before the first round of the NFL Draft officially opened, the league held a moment of solidarity for Ukraine.

Jenny Arata, who is from Kyiv and has been raising funds for children back in her home country, shared a message on stage for those in attendance as well as those watching at home.

"Thank you so much for having me here tonight," Arata said. "It has been extremely difficult for us to watch from so far away the destruction of our home and to talk to my friends and family members who remain in Ukraine. Throughout this devastation, I'm inspired by the strength and unity of our people.

"We remain humbled by the outpouring support from the entire world and all over the USA. Thank you for standing for us in solidarity as we continue to fight for freedom."
