Rams vs. Patriots preview:

The Rams got put in a coffin by Drew Brees and the Saints on Sunday, losing 49-21. It was ugly. The outlook for this week doesn't get much better, as they travel to Foxboro to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots. The Rams—for what it's worth—have reason for some optimism, though. Rookie quarterback Jared Goff didn't look have bad last week. He went 20-0f-32 and threw three touchdowns in just his second NFL game. He'll be looking to build on that performance this week.

The Patriots escaped New York with a win on Sunday, with a patented game-winning touchdown drive by Tom Brady. It's what we've come to expect from the future hall-of-famer. Even when the Patriots look out of sorts, they find ways to win.

Rams vs. Patriots prediction:

This one is over before the opening kickoff. The Rams secondary gave up four touchdowns to Drew Brees, and they'll likely give up four more to Tom Brady. The Patriots will stack the box and force Jared Goff to throw the entire game, and barring a miracle performance—which, I suppose, is possible—the Patriots cruise to another win and Tom Brady becomes the winningest quarterback in NFL history.
