Randy Moss Sends Heartfelt Message To 'Sunday NFL Countdown'

Randy Moss is away from ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, but he's still on his colleagues' minds.

Moss stepped away from ESPN earlier this month in the middle of a health battle. He revealed on Dec. 13 that he's battling cancer and had to undergo a six-hour procedure to remove a mass that was found on his bile duct. Today was Moss' third Sunday away from the Countdown set, but the program has been keeping him involved by continuing to do his "You Got Mossed!" segment.

This morning, Moss sent a message to his coworkers on X/Twitter thanking them and saying he missed them as well.

"@espn sunday nfl countdown......I MISS U TOO!!My guys keeping it going. UGM segment was great!!" Moss wrote.

Shortly after revealing his cancer fight, Moss made it clear he wants to return to television as soon as possible.

"As soon as I get healthy to get back out with guys, I will be on set," Moss said. "Hopefully, I can be with you guys soon. My goal is to get back on television with my team."

Over the last couple of weeks, Moss has received an outpouring of support from around the football world. In addition to the love from his ESPN family, he was honored by his former team, the Minnesota Vikings, before their game last Monday night, and Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson also shouted Moss out after scoring a touchdown.

"Randy is obviously a legend in the game, so he knows about adversity just with the game of football," said Arizona Cardinals running back and cancer survivor James Conner this weekend.

"So I just would tell him -- first of all, prayers up for him first and foremost, but you've got to think it's a battle you can win. As long as he's around family, he's good."
