Ravens vs. Patriots preview:

The Ravens sit atop the AFC North, and currently own a spot in the playoffs. After destroying Miami last weekend, it looks like Baltimore is for real, but that will be put to the test this week against the Patriots. The Ravens enter this game coming off of back-to-back wins after dropping its fifth game of the season in a hard-fought contest against the Cowboys. With a 32-point victory over the Dolphins in hand, and the league's top defense, expect Baltimore to give New England everything it can handle.

Breaking news: the Patriots are good. New England, fresh off of a total team win over the Rams, has a three-game lead in the AFC East over the Dolphins. After getting Tom Brady back from a four-game suspension, the Patriots have gone 7-1, with their only loss coming in a rematch of their Super Bowl win over Seattle.

The Ravens and Patriots have played 12 times in history. The Patriots have dominated the regular season series (7-1), but the two teams split four head-to-head match-ups in the playoffs.

Ravens vs. Patriots prediction:

The Ravens are underrated, which seems like a common thread. A team no one wants to face in the playoffs, Baltimore is firing on all cylinders late in the regular season. That could spell doom for the Patriots, who host the Ravens on Monday Night Football.

Expect a hard-fought game that will be closer than the spread suggests.

Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski gets a late field goal for the win.
