The Baltimore Ravens lost a significant portion of the team’s starting defense from 2018. Four starters from the defense left in free agency, including Eric Weddle and CJ Mosley.
While the defense is losing star power, the offense is reportedly gaining a stud in the backfield. According to multiple reports, former New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has signed a deal with the Ravens.
New Orleans brought in former Minnesota Vikings running back Latavious Murray on a four-year deal. The Murray signing spelled the end for Ingram in a Saints uniform.
It didn’t take long for him to find a new home.
According to Adam Schefter, Ingram signed a deal with the Ravens that pays him $5 million annually.
Former Saints’ RB Mark Ingram intends to sign a three-year, $15 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, per @diannaESPN and me.

The Ravens emerged as the frontrunner for Ingram after Murray signed with the Saints. Baltimore released former starter Alex Collins earlier this year after he was arrested following a car accident.
Collins ceded the starting role to Gus Edwards during the season after Lamar Jackson took over for Joe Flacco. Edwards and Jackson formed a two-headed monster for the Ravens over the final seven games of the season.
Now, the pair will welcome a dominant rusher in Mark Ingram. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry en route to 645 yards on the ground during the 2018 campaign.
