Washington would probably need to trade up for Haskins, considering he could likely be the second quarterback off the board. However, in true Redskins style, there’s discord behind-the-scenes about which QB they should ultimately draft.
ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported this afternoon that Washington GM Bruce Allen and owner Dan Snyder are locked in on Haskins, but others in the building are trying to convince them to take Duke quarterback Daniel Jones.
The Redskins are not only in disagreement about whether to go quarterback with their top pick but which quarterback to select. While we know by now that Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder are fixated on Dwayne Haskins, there is a case being pled for Duke QB Daniel Jones per sources

If we had to read between the lines here, the people driving the Daniel Jones train are likely either Redskins scouts or head coach Jay Gruden, or a combination of both. However, they appear to be outranked here.
Snyder is unquestionably the boss in D.C., and if Allen is in his corner as well, we can’t see how the pick won’t be Haskins. Considering the history of the Redskins, how much longer do we even think Gruden has left as the team’s head coach?
It would be stunning if Snyder and Allen don’t get their way here.
We’ll find out for certain in a few hours.
