Redskins vs. Cardinals preview:
The Redskins sit in third place in the NFC East, behind the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. At 6-4-1 on the season, Washington is in position for a playoff spot and boasts one of the best offenses in the NFL. Despite getting outplayed by the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, the Redskins looked good, Kirk Cousins in particular. Cousins threw the ball for nearly 450 yards and chucked three touchdowns.
One of the Super Bowl favorites entering the year, Arizona has really fallen off this season. At 4-6-1, the Cardinals are three games behind rival Seattle in the NFC West. While David Johnson continues to develop into one of the league’s top backs, the passing game, led by quarterback Carson Palmer, has not been nearly the weapon it was last season.
The Redskins and Cardinals have played 122 times in history. The Redskins lead the series 75-45-2.
Redskins vs. Cardinals prediction:
Kirk Cousins is about to get paid. He's playing like vintage Peyton Manning on the franchise tag and his salary can only go up from here. Cousins will need to play lights out against the Cardinals if the Redskins have any chance in this one.
Despite their record, the Cardinals are a better team than people give them credit for and David Johnson is one of the best running backs in the league.
