Report: Details Of Bill Belichick's Book Are Disappointing
Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is set to release a book, but some may be disappointed to learn that the contents of the book aren't exactly what they may have been hoping to read.
Some anticipated that Belichick would write a tell-all about his time in New England, and what eventually led to him parting ways with the Patriots organization after the 2023 season.
According to Page Six, the book is "more of the business variety” rather than a takedown of the New England organization or a memoir with plenty of stories about his experiences with Tom Brady or Robert Kraft.
“It’s the big business imprints that are the ones meeting and bidding on it," said someone familiar with the negotiations surrounding the book.
Belichick will not be coaching in the NFL this season after failing to land a job in the offseason.
He interviewed with multiple teams and appeared to be the frontrunner for the Atlanta Falcons job, but the team elected to go with Raheem Morris instead.
Some speculated that Belichick demanded more organizational control than other teams were willing to give him, especially at this stage in his career.
Teams appeared to value youth and potential long-term stability over the experience and expertise of a coaching veteran like Belichick.
The longtime coach could choose to get into broadcasting, much like fellow recent retiree and close friend Nick Saban.
Belichick hasn't been the most interesting personality, but he could choose to open up and show a different side of himself after leaving the Patriots and taking a hiatus from coaching.
