The Dolphins are reportedly the latest team interested in signing Colin Kaepernick.

Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill sustained a non-contact injury during practice earlier today and was forced to leave.

While it's unclear what exactly the injury was, it's obviously not a good sign for the quarterback, especially with his injury history. Tannehill missed the end of last season with a sprained ACL and MCL in his left knee.

Naturally, the Dolphins are taking every precaution available, and they intend to bolster their roster at quarterback by signing someone else.

That someone? Potentially Colin Kaepernick.

Check it out:

In signing Kaepernick, the Dolphins would not only get a starter-level quarterback, but also someone who could take over the reigns if backup Matt Moore were to struggle.

Kaepernick is unquestionably the best available quarterback on the market right now—he has been for some time—and it would be foolish for the Dolphins not to give him a shot. But foolish or not foolish, we all know that Kapernick's football ability isn't the reason he hasn't been offered a contract.
