A star wide receiver has been released. With one week left before the 2018 NFL draft, the New York Giants have decided to move on from Brandon Marshall. The former fourth-round pick lasted just on, injury-plagued, year with the team.

Marshall, 34, is three years removed from a 1,500 yard season with the New York Jets, so there will undoubtedly be suitors for the wideout.

Kimberly Martin first reported the news. It has since been corroborated by Giants general manager Dave Gettleman and the organization.

Marshall has been one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL since entering the league in 2006. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft after dominating the competition at UCF.

Marshall has racked up at least 1,000 yards in eight of his 12 seasons and has over 12,000 yards for his career.

It'll be interesting to see who takes a shot on the aging veteran.
