Report: NFL Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy Dead At 48

The Hall of Fame lineman has died, according to a report.

NFL Hall of Fame defensive lineman Cortez Kennedy had died, according to a report by TMZ Sports. He was 48.

Kennedy, who starred collegiately at Miami, was an eight-time Pro Bowler and a three-time first-team All-Pro. He was taken No. 3 overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 1990 NFL Draft. He played with the franchise from 1990-2000.

The former Hurricanes' star was an All-American at The U and inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame in 2004.

TMZ Sports says the cause of death is still unclear.

Kennedy, an Arkansas native, was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2012.
