Report: Notes Found In Aaron Hernandez's Prison Cell

An officer on Aaron Hernandez's cell block has reportedly been punished, too.

According to ABC investigative news reporter Michele McPhee, an officer that was on duty the night Aaron Hernandez died has been placed on leave.

McPhee reports that the officer has been "detached with pay."

She tweeted earlier that the officer failed to make his 2 a.m. check, but has since deleted that tweet.

Hernandez was found in his cell at about 3 a.m. E.T. on Wednesday. Reports say that he was found with the bible verse John 3:16 written on his forehead in red marker. It's now being reported that officers have officially ruled the death a suicide and that notes were found.

Hernandez, 27, was taken to UMASS Leominster hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after 4 a.m. E.T.
