Report: Tom Brady Not Preparing To Play Again Amid Raiders Speculation
Tom Brady walked off the field after the Buccaneers lost to the Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card game in January, and a few weeks later he announced his second retirement.
Since retiring, Brady has explored several ventures, including a stake of ownership in the Las Vegas Raiders. With questions surrounding new Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, many have asked if Brady would consider a second return.
According to a report, Brady is not preparing to play again.
A source tells OutKick that while Brady is adhering to a workout regimen, he is not making an effort to return to the NFL.
“He’s 45 years old and no one that age, not even Tom Brady, can just flip a switch before training camp and be ready," the source said.
“It takes a lot of work and diligence to get ready because he expects to be the best player on the field. And based on what I’ve heard, he hasn’t been doing that level of work.”
When Brady retired back in February, he said that he was leaving the game behind "for good," and that appears to be the case.
With 23 NFL seasons, seven Super Bowl titles and countless records to his name, Brady has nothing to prove when it comes to his career.
It seems that the greatest of all time is really ready to enjoy retirement.
