As the coronavirus outbreak slams healthcare systems and stretches resources thin, athletes and celebrities across the world are doing their part to help. The latest big names to make a generous donation to the relief efforts are Rob Gronkowski and Camille Kostek.
On Monday, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit announced that Kostek and the former Patriots tight end made a very significant donation to the cause. They are reportedly donating 10,000 protective masks to the Boston Medical Center and St. Joseph's University Medical Center.
The post on Instagram included photos of heartwarming letters that Gronkowski and Kostek sent to the two medical centers.
"May these bless you and protect you while you do what you do best," the letter said. "Thank you for being the heroes we need in this critical time. We love you!"
In such difficult times, it's nice to see as many people with the means to make a difference make a contribution.
The state of Massachusetts alone is reportedly dealing with nearly 5,000 cases of coronavirus. The hospitals and medical centers dealing with it can use all of the help they can get.
But they've got a strong ally in Rob Gronkowski and Camille Kostek. The former Patriot has been active in charity for years, earning the Wish Hero Award from the Make-A-Wish Foundation in 2019 for his efforts working with children.
Good job, Gronk and Camille!
