Early Friday afternoon, Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports created a firestorm after floating the idea of Rob Gronkowski not being a Patriot by the end of the day.

There has never been more drama surrounding the Patriots organization with the "feud" between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick and Julian Edelman's suspension. However, the addition of Gronk trade rumors sent Pats fans into a panic.

Well, those fans can take a deep breath knowing the rumors are false.

At least that's according to Rob Gronkowski's brother, Chris, who called Portnoy's statement "fake news."

Pats insider Tom Curran also shot down the trade rumors.

Patriots fans have been reeling since the announcement of Edelman's four-game suspension.

Even more rumors were fueled by a Reddit user, the same one who broke Edelman's suspension a day early, who said he has a “major” story involving the Patriots to break tonight.

Is a major change coming to the Patriots? Possibly, but it won't have anything to do with Gronk, as far as these reports are concerned.
