After missing most of 2022, Marshon Lattimore is looking to start 2023 on a brighter note.

The star New Orleans Saints cornerback has dealt with a left leg injury during training camp. ESPN's Katherine Terrell didn't spot Lattimore at Wednesday's practice, but head coach Dennis Allen delivered encouraging news.

Allen expects Lattimore to suit up for the Saints' Week 1 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Following three straight Pro Bowl campaigns, Lattimore missed 10 straight games with an abdomen injury last season. He promptly produced a pick-six in his Week 17 return, playing every defensive snap in the final two games.

Per The Adovcate's Rod Walker, Allen didn't convey serious concern for Lattimore's leg injury earlier this preseason.

"He just planted and felt a little something," Allen said two weeks ago. "I think it’s more precautionary than anything. . . . We’ll go in and evaluate it and see where he’s at, but it didn’t seem like it was significant on the field, so hopefully that will be the case."

One of the league's premier corners, Lattimore has 14 interceptions and 78 passes defended in 80 career games. The 27-year-old is striving for an even better 2023 season.

"I just try to be better every year," Lattimore said earlier this month. "I feel like this is one of my better camps as far as what I've been doing. But I can always get better in my eyes. So I'm just working right now."

Barring a setback, Lattimore could be ready to cover DeAndre Hopkins in his Titans debut. The game starts inside the Superdome on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. ET.
