On Tuesday night, the New Orleans Pelicans landed the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft.
Despite holding just a 6-percent chance to land the top pick, the Pelicans won the lottery and the chance to draft former Duke star Zion Williamson.
New Orleans head coach Alvin Gentry and general manager David Griffin celebrated accordingly after landing the top pick.
However, it’s not just the basketball team celebrating Williamson’s impending arrival.
New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton took to Twitter with a message for Zion. It looks like Payton wants Williamson to try out the football field in New Orleans as well as the basketball court.
Check it out.

Imagine the possibilities combining the offensive genius that is Sean Payton with one of the most gifted athletes on the planet. Tight end, pass rusher, you name it, Payton could find a spot for Zion on the field.
At 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, Williamson has elite size and he’s already showcased his speed at the collegiate basketball level.
Would the Pelicans ever let him see the field in another sport? No, but it’s nice to dream.
Pairing Williamson with six-time All-Star Anthony Davis should bode well for the Pelicans in 2019-20 – if the team doesn’t trade Davis, of course.
