Seahawks vs. Falcons preview:
The Seahawks dominated the Lions last week, 26-6, and Thomas Rawls had himself a game with 161 yards and a touchdown. The offense was firing on all cylinders for Seattle with Doug Baldwin amassing 104 yards on 11 catches and Russell Wilson throwing two touchdowns. The Seahawks looked great against the Lions at home, but this weekend's road matchup against the Falcons will a whole different animal entirely. Literally and figuratively.
The Falcons relaxed during Wild Card weekend with a first-round bye, so let's go all the way back to Week 6 of the season when these two teams faced off. The Falcons looked horrendous early on, but sparked a comeback late with 21 points in the second half—though they lost 26-24. I'm thinking this time the Falcons get off to a better start, though I still expect it to be a shootout.
Seahawks vs. Falcons prediction:
The Falcons are actually good this year and not fool's gold, which is hard to believe, and I think they get it done this year and win a playoff game. The Seahawks will miss Earl Thomas in the secondary, and Matt Ryan will carve them up for 300 yards in a shootout.
