We’re now less than 30 minutes away from kickoff at the Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots.
Sean McVay and Jared Goff are set to take on Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. It should be a fun one.
The 33-year-old head coach of the Los Angeles Rams is looking to win his first Super Bowl in his second season as a head coach.
McVay, who grew up in Georgia, will have a ton of family on hand for the game.
“Isn’t that wild? I mean, it really is,” his father, Tim McVay, said in an interview with therams.com. “I just love being able for Sean to come back … to Atlanta and that everyone can share a little part of it, because all those people had a role in shaping Sean to being who he is.”
There will be a big support system on hand for McVay tonight.
“We’re just delighted to be able to be there for him,” Tim McVay added. “I was able to retire a year ago, so got to see a lot more games — which has been awful fun for us this year. But we’re very close and we’ve been blessed to, really, be a very close family our entire lives.”
McVay’s girlfriend, Veronika Khomyn, will be there, too.
McVay and Khomyn met when the head coach was an assistant for the Washington Redskins. They then moved out to Los Angeles together.
The Patriots-Rams game is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. E.T.
It’ll be televised on CBS.
