The Pittsburgh Steelers ended the season with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals and a shot at the playoffs. However, those playoff hopes were quickly dashed by the Baltimore Ravens when they won the AFC North just a few minutes later.

After the season ended in a missed playoff berth, the news got worse for Steelers fans. Star wide receiver Antonio Brown, who missed the final game with what was announced as an injury, was benched for the the Bengals game after a blow-up at practice.

Weeks later, there's talk of a potential trade. Steelers owner Art Rooney II addressed the Antonio Brown controversy on Wednesday afternoon with an honest quote.

"AB wasn't a distraction but 'obviously that changed. I'm very disappointed in where we are and what happened and don't have a lot of good explanations for it,'" Steelers insider Jeremy Fowler tweeted.

The San Francisco 49ers are the favorite to trade for Brown, but there remains a possibility that the star receiver is back in Pittsburgh next season. The Steelers are reportedly hoping for a first-round pick in return for a Brown trade.
