The surprising feud between Stephen A. Smith and Derek Carr has reached new heights, as the ESPN personality had an emphatic response for the Oakland Raiders quarterback on First Take.

Carr took exception to comments made about him yesterday, challenging Smith and Max Kellerman on Twitter.

It reached the point where Carr asked Dana White if he could set up a UFC match in the future. Even though the overall tone of the message sounded sarcastic, it's pretty evident that the signal-caller is frustrated with hearing constant criticism.

Well, Smith has just poured gasoline on the fire with his latest outburst on First Take.

He brought up several putrid statistics revolving around the Oakland quarterback to strengthen his argument.

"In his five years in the NFL, four have been losing seasons. I recall both Max and myself acknowledging this dude is in line to win MVP before he went down with that broken fibula. But since that moment in time you haven't been that damn impressive," Smith said.

Considering that Carr has been vocal on social media over the past few days, it would be shocking if he didn't reply to this latest segment from Smith.

Perhaps Carr will join the set on ESPN and keep this rivalry going through the offseason.
