On Friday night, the second round of the 2022 NFL draft kicked off from Las Vegas.

Shortly before hopping on air, NFL Network analyst Steve Smith dropped some knowledge. He said he's hearing the Carolina Panthers are going to make a move for Baker Mayfield.

Smith, a former Panthers wide receiver, didn't say exactly when the move would happen. However, he gave a pretty strong reaction to the news.

"Nooooooooooo," he yelled into the camera.

Check it out.

Clearly the former Panthers wide receiver doesn't want his team to trade for the former No. 1 overall pick. Mayfield has been connected to the Panthers ever since the Browns made a bold trade to bring in former Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Carolina and Seattle have been the most-talked about destinations for Mayfield, but no deal has been made just yet.

Will that change tonight?
