Texans vs. Jags preview:

Houston is at 5-3 on the season and sits at first place in the AFC South, a game and a half up on the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. Despite Brock Osweiler's struggles this season, the Texans have found ways to win, with running back Lamar Miller carrying quite a bit of the load. The Texans three losses this season have come against the Patriots, Vikings, and Broncos, all of whom are near the top of their conference.

The Jaguars are not very good. They're not even bad. They are terrible. After opening the season with three straight losses, the Jags looked to be turning things around with back-to-back wins against the Colts and Bears. However, Jacksonville has dropped three straight games at the hands of the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Kansas City Chiefs and now sit at the bottom of the AFC South.

The Texans and Jags have played each other 28 times, with the Texans holding a 17-11 advantage in the regular season.

Texans vs. Jags prediction:

Neither one of these teams jumps off the page and screams "Super Bowl contender," but the Texans hold a slight edge on both sides of the ball in this one.

With a heavy dose of Lamar Miller, the Texans will do just enough to squeak out a win.
