The 5 Teams Most-Likely To Sign QB Colin Kaepernick
The news that Colin Kaepernick would be having a private workout for a bunch of NFL teams has triggered all kinds of discussions among analysts. But there's one pressing question that underlies all of the conversation: What team might sign him?
Plenty of teams have seen their quarterbacks go down with injuries or just plain needed to be benched. So it's not impossible for Kaepernick to find an NFL home if a team is eager for a talented backup - or a new starter altogether.
According to the website Sportsbook.ag, several teams stand out as the top contenders to sign the former Super Bowl quarterback.
The 0-9 Cincinnati Bengals received the best odds at +350. In a close second are the 5-4 Pittsburgh Steelers at +400, while the AFC North-leading Baltimore Ravens are +600.
Tied for fourth are the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders, both of whom received +700 odds.
Of course, none of these odds will pay out if Kaepernick ultimately doesn't get signed by anyone.
Given how resistant teams have been to even speaking to him, let alone working him out, in the wake of various injuries, it's hard to have any confidence that Kaepernick's upcoming workout will result in an NFL contract.
