Three Patriots Starters Not On Team Flight To Arizona

It looks like the Patriots will be without three key starters on Sunday.

According to a report by the Providence Journal, New England tight end Rob Gronkowski, offensive tackle Nate Solder and offensive guard Jonathan Cooper were not on the team's flight to Arizona today. The Pats are set to take on the Cardinals at 8:30 p.m. E.T. Sunday night.

From their report:

The Providence Journal has learned that Rob Gronkowski, Nate Solder and Jonathan Cooper were not with their teammates as they left Friday for Arizona. Unless the three players are taking other avenues to get out West, it appears that the Patriots could be without some help to open the season against the Arizona Cardinals. Another option is that the three players travel to Phoenix on Saturday.

The Patriots list eight players as “questionable” on Friday, but the team doesn't have to rule anyone out until Saturday.

All three players are dealing with lower-leg injuries.

It's possible the three players could still be getting treatment at home and will make the trip out to Phoenix on Saturday, though they're all "questionable" for the game on Sunday.

The Pats and the Cardinals are set to kick off at 8:30 p.m. E.T. on NBC.
