Earlier this offseason, New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell was back in the headlines - but not for anything football related.
Instead, the star running back was the victim of a burglary.
According to multiple reports, two suspects stole over $500,000 worth of jewelry, clothing and shoes from his house in Miami. Police determined the value of the jewelry at $520,000 - though Bell claimed the value was closer to $1 million.
In the weeks following the initial report, not much was known about the nature of the crime.
However, on Friday, TMZ released audio of Bell's call to police. In the call, he revealed that his two "girlfriends" were both naked when he left the house - then he was robbed.
Here's what he said in the call, via TMZ:
"When I left, [one of the women] was in the bed. She was in the bed, not wearing clothes when I left. So, I didn't see her. You know what I'm saying."
And the other lady ... "She was in the bed too. They didn't have clothes on."
As for what happened to Bell's belongings, the police revealed the investigation is still ongoing and no update was provided.
Bell sat out the 2018 season before signing a sizable deal with the Jets.
