Trent Dilfer: "No Brainer" The Rams Should Hire Jon Gruden
The Los Angeles Rams are currently looking for a new head coach.
Jeff Fisher was fired by the Rams earlier this week and Los Angeles is now looking for a new head coach.
Who should that new head coach be?
ESPN NFL analyst Trent Dilfer thinks there is someone out there who is a "no brainer" hire.
That man? A fellow ESPN NFL analyst - Jon Gruden.
Dilfer appeared on Russillo & Kanell today and said he thinks Gruden makes a ton of sense for the Rams.
Gruden, 53, has been out of coaching since 2008. He was previously Tampa Bay's head coach from 2002-08, winning a Super Bowl in 2002. He also led the Oakland Raiders from 1998-2001.
As a head coach in the NFL, he's 95-81.
While he wasn't stellar as a head coach - nor bad - Dilfer thinks Gruden will be better now than he was then, as being an analyst for nearly a decade has allowed him to see the game from a different perspective.
