Tyreek Hill Paid Jason Kelce A Major Compliment Monday Night
Offensive linemen have football's most thankless job, but Tyreek Hill gave some love to the rarely celebrated position while watching Jason Kelce play his old team on Monday Night Football.
During the first half of Monday's Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, Hill said Kelce was making center "look fun" to play.
Travis Kelce often gets more attention for putting up big numbers, and the Chiefs tight end scored his 76th career touchdown late in the second quarter. Yet his big brother popped off the screen as a blocker.
During a D'Andre Swift run Jason Kelce sprinted downfield to maul a Chiefs defender inside the red zone.
He also turned around and appeared to direct a play before the snap.
Like Travis, Jason should have a spot in Canton waiting once he's eligible. The Eagles center has gotten recognized as an All-Pro in five of the last six seasons, and the 36-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down.
Per Pro Football Focus, Kelce entered Monday night as the NFL's second-highest-graded center (81.9) behind Detroit's Frank Ragnow. He ranked first each season from 2017 to 2019 and finished second last year.
The highly reliable star also hasn't missed a game in nine years.
Hill got a closer look at Kelce when the Eagles earned a 31-17 win over his Miami Dolphins in Week 7. The center is getting a primetime stage to show how valuable he is to the defending NFC champions.
