NFL fans were witnesses to one of the best performances in a big game in recent memory on Sunday night, both on the field and inside the broadcast booth.

The Patriots topped the Chiefs, 37-31, in overtime at the AFC Championship Game. The contest was thrilling, with Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes trading blows in the final quarter and overtime period.

There was greatness on display in the broadcast booth, too.

CBS' lead NFL analyst, Tony Romo, was as good as a broadcaster has been in a big game in some time.

The former Dallas Cowboys' star quarterback seemed to know what plays were coming all game long. Romo correctly predicted several of the Chiefs and Patriots' big play calls in impressive fashion.

This video highlights all of the times Romo was right on Sunday night:

Thankfully for the NFL, CBS has the Super Bowl this year, so we get Romo on the call for the Patriots-Rams game, along with his play-by-play man, Jim Nantz.

New England and Los Angeles are set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. E.T. on Sunday, February 3. The Patriots are currently listed as a 1.5-point favorite heading into their contest against the Rams.
