Earlier this week, Nike caused a stir when it revealed an ad featuring former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for the anniversary of its “Just Do It” campaign. The ad read: “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”
As divisive as his on-field protests during the national anthem were, the decision to feature Kaepernick in the ad was met with vitriol and adoration. While some took to Twitter to show their Nike gear burning, others went out to buy more from the apparel company.
On Wednesday afternoon, ESPN’s Darren Rovell revealed a new commercial featuring a voice-over from Kaepernick. He also makes a small appearance in the commercial as well.
Check it out.

Nike wanted to shake things up, and that’s exactly what the company did.
This commercial is scheduled to air during the NFL’s season-opener. The Philadelphia Eagles host the Atlanta Falcons in a game set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET.
