Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been linked to NFL jobs throughout the year, but he is making his presence known today at FedEx Field.

Photos from today's game between the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles show Meyer watching the game from the comfort of Dan Snyder's owner's box.

The Washington job has been vacant since the first half of the season, when Jay Gruden was fired after a 0-5 start. The team has gone 3-5 under interim head coach Bill Callahan, but is expected to look elsewhere in the off-season.

And if there's one person who could conceivably re-energize the entire franchise, it's Urban Meyer.

Meyer has plenty of reasons to want to go see a Redskins game, of course. Several of his former players are playing today including Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin. If Alex Smith is there, he could be visiting his former Utah quarterback, too.

The three-time NCAA champion has never coached at any level of the NFL, though. Even if Meyer does want to coach one or both of his former quarterbacks, he has often shown a preference towards joining teams that are closer to contending, and Washington doesn't quite fit that bill.

But we're only a few weeks away from the end of the NFL season and "Black Monday." Maybe Meyer will surprise us...
