What Seed Did Arizona State Get In The NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the Arizona State Sun Devils were given a 10-seed in the Midwest-region. They are coached by Herb Sendek and hail from the Pac-12.

You can view the entire 2014 NCAA Tournament field here in our official bracket.

Where: They will open play against Texas in Milwaukee on Thursday.

Why: Arizona State finished with a 10-8 record in the Pac-12, good enough for a five-way tie with Oregon, Colorado, Stanford and California for third place. The Sun Devils scored notable victories over Colorado, Oregon, Arizona and Stanford.

Ceiling: Without their win over then-No. 2 Arizona back on Valentine's Day, Herb Sendek's guys probably don't make the NCAA Tournament. Arizona State, in all honesty, was an average Pac-12 team for much of the year and failed to play consistent basketball. Could Jahii Carson & Co. get hot and pull a stunner or two? Maybe. But it's unlikely.
