Arizona Basketball: Which Teams Could The Wildcats Face In The First Round Of The NCAA Tournament?

Arizona, behind a balanced attack led by Ryan Anderson and Gabe York, is headed back to the NCAA Tournament in 2016. While the Wildcats likely won't be a 1-seed like last year's squad, they do have the talent to make a run. But they'll need to play more consistent basketball to make it happen.

Arizona, with the Pac-12's 4-seed, will tip off its postseason with a contest against either Washington State or Colorado on Thursday. But where will the Wildcats land this Sunday for the NCAA Tournament? Arizona is currently projected between a 4-seed and a 6-seed.

ESPN's Bracketology: 6-seed in the East playing either UCONN or St. Bonaventure in Brooklyn

CBS Sports:5-seed in the West playing UNC Wilmington in Spokane

USA Today: 6-seed in the South playing UConn or VCU in Des Moines

Likely Seed: Arizona appears headed towards a 5-seed. Unless, of course...

Ceiling: ...they run the table in the Pac-12 and win the league's tournament. That would likely give Zona wins over Colorado, Oregon and either Utah or Cal. It'd be a nice late-season statement to send the committee.

Arizona doesn't have the firepower it did a year ago, but the Wildcats are dangerous. Don't be shocked if they are a factor in the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
