Oregon State Is Going To Release A Promo Video Featuring "Stormetheus"

Getting mythical.

The Oregon State Beavers are hyped up for Saturday's season opener versus Eastern Washington in Corvallis, and the athletic department is cooking up a video to show you just how ready they are to win. Tonight, head coach Mike Riley prepared us for an epic intro video that will be released later this week -- featuring a character named "Stormetheus."

Of course, this means that sophomore running back Storm Woods should be featured quite heavily. In Greek mythology, Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to humans, which allowed them to advance civilization -- we're assuming that Riley is counting on Woods to provide fire to the Beavers offense en route to a successful season.

Although, Prometheus did get caught by Zeus and was subjected to eternal torture -- so it could be a long season for Oregon State.

Either way, we're excited to see where this promo is going -- it should provide some quality entertainment.
