Oregon State may have found its replacement fired basketball coach Craig Robinson, in Montana head coach Wayne Tinkle, according to reports.

Tinkle has been the head coach at Montana since 2006, and has a 158-89 record, and has guided the Grizzlies to the NCAA tournament three times. Oregon State has not made the big dance since 1990.

Earlier today, word had come out that Tinkle was a finalist for the job along with Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins.

Interestingly, Oregon State gets Tinkle in the year that his son Tres will choose where to play his college ball. Tres, a 6-foot-5 forward, is a four-star recruit according to ESPN and 247sports.

Oregon State is yet to land a player in the 2015 class, so if Tinkle can land his son, it would be a nice jump-start to his stay in Corvallis.
