Chip Kelly Named Head Coach Of The San Francisco 49ers

Former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, who coached the Philadelphia Eagles the past three years, will be back on the sidelines in 2016. Kelly will not be returning to the college game, however - he's headed to the San Francisco 49ers. Jed York announced the news Thursday afternoon.

Kelly, in four years with the Ducks, posted an impressive 46-7 record. In Philadelphia, he won 10 games in each of his first two seasons. He was fired before the team's final game this past December after coaching the team to a 6-9 mark.
