Willie Taggart is adding another power five assistant to his Oregon staff: fast-rising Oklahoma State coach Marcus Arroyo.
FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman broke the news that Arroyo will head to the Ducks as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
SB Nation's Steven Godfrey reports that Arroyo will also be coaching tight ends for Taggart.
Arroyo, a former San Jose State quarterback, has experience coaching at his alma mater, as well as Wyoming, Cal, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He coached running backs at Oklahoma State for two seasons.
Arroyo was reportedly a candidate for the head coaching openings at San Jose State and Nevada, and looked at by other programs as a possible offensive coordinator. He was regarded as one of Oklahoma State's top recruiters over the last few seasons.
During the coaching carousel, some thought that Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy could be a candidate at Oregon. That never really picked up steam, but Oregon is still snatching away a strong coach from the Pokes.
