Some Oregon Fans Are Already Done With New Head Coach Mario Cristobal

Mario Cristobal's debut as Oregon head coach could be going better. The Ducks are down 17-0 early on against Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Boise State scored touchdowns on two of its first three drives on the day, and with a missed field goal, could be up even bigger on Mario Cristobal's Ducks.

It has been a very hapless start for the Ducks, who are being outgained 191-40 and have just two first downs while Boise State has 12.

It may just be a December 16th bowl game after a hectic few weeks for the program, which lost head coach Willie Taggart to Florida State, but some fans have already seen enough of the Mario Cristobal era, as ridiculous as that sounds.

This has been a horrible game for the Ducks so far, but:

A.) Bowl games are almost always a crap shoot.
B.) The team had a ton of drama surrounding Taggart's departure.
C.) Boise State is a good team.
D.) Star running back Royce Freeman is sitting out.

There are always teams that don't show up during bowl season, and this year it appears that Oregon is one of them, as unfortunate as it is for the fans that made the trip to Las Vegas. And considering the players petitioned for Cristobal to get the job, it is a bad look that they've come out so flat, but he is an established head coach who had a lot of success at FIU. He deserves more of a look than one late-season exhibition.
