Mark Helfrich Thinks There's A Media Bias When Oregon Loses To Stanford

If the Oregon football program was a superhero, its kryptonite would surely be Stanford.

The Ducks, who annually possess one of the country's best offenses, have lost to the Cardinal in each of the last two seasons, and in three of the last five. The 2012-13 defeats ended Oregon's undefeated seasons and hopes of reaching the BCS National Championship Game. Oregon, which averaged 45 points a game last season, scored a combined 34 points in their two most recent games against the Cardinal.

Oregon's struggles against the Palo Alto, Calif. program have caused some to wonder if the Cardinal have found the antidote to the Ducks' often-unstoppable attack. This bothers coach Mark Helfrich.

Is what Helfrich is saying correct? Have people been overreacting to Oregon's losses to Stanford? Few people seem to be concerned when Stanford loses a game--three in 2013, two in '12--though few likely consider the Cardinal to be in the same college football echelon as the Ducks.
