Oregon Fans Chanting "Lockie" After Backup Quarterback Replaces Vernon Adams Jr., Leads TD Drive

Vernon Adams Jr. is out and Jeff Lockie is in for the Oregon football team.

With the Ducks trailing Utah, 20-6, Mark Helfrich sent Adams, playing with a broken right index finger, to the bench and put Lockie in the game.

Lockie proceeded to lead Oregon on a seven play, 68-yard touchdown drive, cutting the Utes' lead to 20-13. After the score, Autzen Stadium erupted in a "Lock-ie! Lock-ie!" chant.
