The Oregon Ducks are known for their flashy Nike garb, and it's all thanks to the great Phil Knight. Knight is a former Duck, an Oregon native, and of course, the multi-billionaire chairman and co-founder of Nike, Inc. He loves to dote on the university.
Earlier this week Knight celebrated his 75th birthday, and the Oregon basketball team and fans wanted to do something special to honor it. So for tonight's Civil War matchup versus Oregon State, both the team and the student section will be wearing special shirts to show their appreciation.
