College football’s best Saturday of the season is nearly here. In the Pac-12, the 14th-ranked Oregon Ducks and rival Oregon State Beavers are set to meet in the Civil War at Autzen Stadium.
Oregon’s College Football Playoff hopes were dashed last Saturday with the Ducks’ crushing defeat to Arizona State. But now sitting at 9-2, Mario Cristobal’s team still has a chance to finish the regular season with 10 wins.
The key for this Ducks team will be to not look past Oregon State. The Beavers have improved drastically after being the doormat of the Pac-12 for several years. OSU head coach Jonathan Smith has his team on the brink of bowl eligibility. But the Beavers must beat Oregon on Saturday to go bowling.
