For a few of the top teams in college football, this weekend will offer stern tests away from home. Three teams currently ranked in the top seven will have conference road games to derail their hopes in reaching the College Football Playoff.

Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET, the No. 6 ranked Clemson Tigers travel to Miami to play the Hurricanes. Clemson has been rolling for the majority of the season but had one of their close calls on the road. After defeating Wofford and Appalachian State by 30+ points, Clemson won on the road at Louisville by just three points. The team’s closest game of the season was the following week at home against Notre Dame when they won by two, followed by a 19-point win against Georgia Tech and a 17-point win against Boston College. Miami is 4-2 with losses against Cincinnati and Florida State on the road, but are a perfect 3-0 at home this season.

Utah, which is this season’s most surprising undefeated team from a Power 5 conference, goes on the road to play the USC Trojans. Utah has impressive wins over Michigan, Oregon, California and Arizona State, led mainly by their rushing attack and Devontae Booker. The Pac-12 schedule is a grind, but Utah has been up for the task every week. The Trojans are 3-3 and are a whirlwind of a season and will be coached by interim coach Clay Helton for the second time this season.

Lastly, the No. 1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes will face Rutgers on the road and will do so with a new starting quarterback. J.T. Barrett was named the starter this week over Cardale Jones by head coach Urban Meyer and will have his first start this season. Rutgers is proving to be stingy, losing by only seven points to Michigan State on the road and then cancelled a 19-point deficit and stole a win against Indiana on the road.

Of the three games, tickets to see the Buckeyes against Rutgers are the most expensive on the secondary market according to TiqIQ.com with an average ticket price of $183.10 and a get-in price of $75. Utah playing the Trojans at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has an average price $114.54 with a get-in price of $49 and Clemson is the least expensive of the three with an average ticket price of $67.06 with a get-in price of $24.

With it being the least expensive, seeing a top-seven team in Clemson on the road against the Hurricanes may be the most viable option. Hipmunk.com has flights to Miami to pair with the perfect Miami hotel on Hipmunk to create a college football getaway weekend.
