Back in March, Darion Green-Warren announced his decommitment from Oklahoma. The move may have had something to do with changes coming to OU’s defensive strategy under new defensive coordinator Alex Grinch.
Whatever the reason for the move, Green-Warren remains uncommitted as we enter the summer. The four-star recruit is one of the top defensive backs available in the class of 2019.
Green-Warren is the No. 198 player in the country, per 247Sports. He’s ranked No. 18 among cornerbacks and No. 15 among all recruits from California.
Darion Green-Warren announced his new final six schools list on Monday night.
The blue-chip corner no longer has Oklahoma in the mix at all, per this list.
USC appears to be the new favorite. The local power has the lion’s share of predictions at 247Sports‘ crystal ball.
The Trojans are joined by a Big Ten-heavy group of schools, including Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Penn State. SEC East powerhouse Georgia rounds out the list.

The Bulldogs currently have the top recruiting class of any of those involved for Green-Warren, at No. 4 in the country. They’re followed by Michigan (No. 9), Penn State (No. 19), Michigan State (No. 40), USC (No. 49), and Nebraska (No. 72).
Of course, there is a lot of time for these rankings to shift, with around six months until the early signing period.
