ESPN Thinks These 7 Teams Have No Shot At The College Football Playoff

ESPN revealed the only 11 teams that can win the 2016 College Football Playoff back in March, a mixture of powerhouse programs and some not-so-obvious contenders.

On Monday, it went the other direction naming the seven best teams with no shot at winning the playoff. Some of the teams may surprise you.

Which team gets it done this season?

Here's the list, via ESPN.

  • Ohio State
  • Iowa
  • Michigan State
  • Ole Miss
  • North Carolina
  • TCU
  • USC

ESPN goes on to provide reasoning for including each of these seven teams, and you can find that here.

A few thoughts: Ole Miss, Ohio State and USC should all be pretty good teams in 2016, but each have challenges to face. USC's schedule is undoubtedly the most difficult slate in all of college football. Ole Miss plays in the toughest division in football, leading to plenty of potential trouble. And Ohio State is looking to rebound from a mass departure of talent to the NFL.

What do you think, college football fans? Did they get it right?
