Photos: USC Blind Long-Snapper Jake Olson Practicing For 1st Time Today

Jake Olson, the blind long-snapper who wanted to join USC's football team as a walk-on, has done just that.

He's practicing with the Trojans today.

Olson, who was born with retinoblastoma, a rare cancer of the retina, had been waiting to get cleared by the NCAA. He was given a Swim With Mike scholarship, given to physically challenged athletes. Since the scholarship is for athletics, he was originally not able to be considered a walk-on and USC didn't have any scholarship spots available.

He appears to have been cleared to play.
