Prophet Brown is the one of the most coveted running backs in the country. The dynamic offensive star out of Elk Grove, Calif. has a true national recruiting battle going on for his services.

247Sports‘ composite rankings have him at No. 338 overall. He’s the No. 23 all-purpose back in the country, and the No. 29 player in The Golden State.

On Friday, he released a new top six schools list. The Big Ten, Big 12, and Pac-12 are all well-represented. As of now, it is hard to tab a favorite, though. There are currently no predictions logged at 247’s crystal ball for the 2021 prospect.

USC and Oregon are the most local programs to crack the top six. They’re joined by some powerful national recruiters: Michigan and Nebraska out of the Big Ten, Oklahoma in the Big 12, and independent powerhouse Notre Dame. He announced the group on Twitter.

He’s landed a number of big offers since the start of the year. Outside of these top programs, Arizona State, Oregon State, Stanford, Utah, and Washington State have all come through with offers.

Prophet Brown was a major big play threat for Monterey Trail High School last fall. He gained 779 yards and scored 11 rushing touchdowns on just 64 carries. He also caught 17 passes for 343 yards and five more scores, and had three interceptions on defense.

There is currently no known timetable for his college decision.
