Suspended USC Kicker Matt Boermeester No Longer On Roster

USC kicker Matt Boermeester is no longer with the program.

USC kicker Matt Boermeester, the man who kicked the winning field goal for the Trojans in the Rose Bowl, is no longer a part of the USC football program, according to Yahoo Sports.

Boermeester was suspended from the team earlier this year for a "conduct issue" and has not been with the team since February.

Boermeester, a rising redshirt senior, was 18-of-25 on field goals and 53-of-54 on extra point attempts as the starting kicker in 2016. He kicked the 46-yard field goal with no time remaining to beat Penn State 52-49 in the Rose Bowl on January 2.

With Boermeester no longer a part of the program, redshirt freshman Michael Brown is expected to be the starting placekicker.

USC is a preseason favorite to win the Pac-12.
