On Friday night, the USC Trojans hosted No. 10 Utah in a pivotal match-up between Pac-12 rivals. Despite playing with their third-string quarterback, Matt Fink, for the majority of the game, the Trojans walked out with a 30-23 win.
It was an impressive performance from USC - and a necessary one for Clay Helton to keep his job.
Looming on the sidelines was former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, who has been rumored for the USC gig if the program decides to move on from Helton.
Following the game, Meyer "liked" a message on Twitter that referenced him having a good quarterback once he takes the USC job - as if it was an eventuality.
Check it out.
It's safe to assume Meyer accidentally hit the like button while surfing through Twitter. He and Helton are friendly and Meyer even congratulated Helton on the win over Utah Friday night.
During the game, true freshman quarterback Kedon Slovis suffered a nasty hit in the first few minutes of the game. Redshirt junior quarterback Matt Fink threw for over 350 yards and three touchdowns to lead USC to victory.
If the Trojans continue to win under Helton, he'll remain the team's head coach.
If he doesn't win? Anything is possible.
